Frac Engineer

Our team of Frac Stim Specialists are highly trained and experienced professionals who provide a range of services to help companies optimize the stimulation treatment through active frac management.   They will coordinate with the service company to ensure sufficient chemical and proppant volumes will be available for the treatments. They also verify that the liquid additive systems are performing at the desired range of rate to insure the liquid additive pumps will be sufficient for the treatment.

Our company’s fracking specialists are trained to interpret the treating pressure using state-of-the-art technology. They are able to suggest modifications to the well stimulation treatment schedule to help redesign the stimulation on location based on the actual surface and wellbore conditions. Their primary objective is to ensure the stage is pumped in a safe and effective manner which optimizes proppant placement. In addition, the frac specialists can help mitigate costs through adjustments to the pump schedule, adjustments to the chemical loadings (when possible), and through diligent inventory control ensuring service company field tickets are accurate.

In addition, all our onsite personnel have 24/7 access to the completion engineering team including upper management. This access allows the IPT team to help our clients navigate unique and challenging scenarios which may arise during the completion operations. Through open communication and collaboration with the client’s team, IPT’s priority is ensuring the project is a success.

The completions engineering team is also available to help plan and advise on the completion phase of the operation. Our personnel are on treatments in all major domestic basins therefore are exposed to a myriad of completions approaches and technologies. This in conjunction with our legacy database from 30+ years in the frac consulting business allows us to help clients identify potential obstacles in advance while working to optimize the outcomes. Additionally, leveraging our extensive experience, we utilize historical data from past fracs in a basin to aid in designing effective frac treatments. Notably, our engineers have designed and successfully performed several re-fracs that demonstrate our capability to enhance well performance significantly. We can help with fracture treatment design, refract evaluation, field studies, lookbacks, DFIT analysis and overall project management of the completions operation.
